42. Storage Timing
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) A TRIG MODE AUTO pushbutton pressed.
(b) A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to 1 ms.
(c) STORAGE MODE NORM pushbutton pressed.
(d) SAVE REF pushbutton released to OFF.
(e) CURSOR FUNCTION TIME pushbutton pressed and VOLTS
pushbutton released.
(2) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER mode output of 1 ms.
(3) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton to
align one time marker to each vertical graticule line. If oscilloscope calibrator Err display
readout is not within 2%, perform b below.
(4) Set A AND B TIME/DIV AND DELAY TIME switches to 2 s.
(5) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER output of 2 s and adjust
horizontal POSITION control to align 2d time marker with 2d vertical graticule line.
(6) Set CH 1 AC-GND-DC switch to GND and adjust INTENSITY control for a
visible display of trace and time dots.
(7) Adjust CURSOR/NO. OF SWEEPS control to set active time dot to 2d vertical
graticule line. Press CURSOR SELECT pushbutton to activate other time dot and
position it to 10th vertical graticule line. The LED readout will indicate within limits
specified in first row of table 20.
(8) Set CH 1 AC-GND-DC switch to DC and adjust INTENSITY control as
necessary for viewing time markers. Repeat technique of (5) and (7) above for each setting
