(22) SUM ATTEN control to 0 DB.
e. Set POWER ON/OFF switch to ON and allow sufficient time for warm-up
and stabilization.
8. Timing Marker Accuracy
a. Performance Check
NOTE
Set oscilloscope input impedance to 1 M when 75
termination is used.
(1) Connect TIMING MKRS OUT to frequency counter CHANNEL A input, using
video cable and 75 : termination.
(2) Frequency counter will indicate 10.000 0.002 MHz.
(3) Disconnect video cable and termination from frequency counter and connect to
oscilloscope Channel 1 input. Connect SCOPE TRIG OUT to oscilloscope AUX TRIG IN
input, using video cable.
(4) Adjust oscilloscope controls as necessary to measure the amplitude of the 0.1 Ps
markers. The amplitude will be t0.5 V.
(5) Repeat technique of (4) above for 1, 10, and 100 Ps timing markers.
The
amplitude of each timing marker will be increased over the previous timing marker.
(6) Verify the spacing of 1, 10, and 100 Ps timing markers to within .02% of
respective timing markers.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
9. Pulse Repetition Rate Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect RADAR TRIG OUT to frequency counter CHANNEL A input, using
video cable and 75 : termination.
(2) Set PRT SEL (USEC) (500 USEC MIN) switches to the first setting in table 4.
Adjust frequency counter controls to measure the period of the SCOPE TRIG OUT signal.
The frequency counter will indicate within limits specified.
(3) Repeat technique of (2) above for remaining PRT SEL (USEC) (500 USEC
MIN) switch settings listed in table 4. Frequency counter will indicate as specified.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
