Figure 4. Reply and SUB pulse accuracy - equipment setup.
(3) Adjust oscilloscope controls as necessary to view TI 8 pulse reply train (Channel 1)
and timing markers (Channel 2).
(4) Measure the amplitude of the 1st pulse in the reply train. The amplitude as
indicated on oscilloscope display will be 5.0 0.5 V.
NOTE
The oscilloscope time base controls and the timing markers on
Channel 2 should be used when performing (5) through (13)
and (21) through (24) below.
(5) Measure the rise time and fall time of the 1st pulse in the reply train. The rise
time and fall time will be <0.1 and <0.2 Ps respectively.
(6) Measure the pulse width of the 1st pulse in the reply train.
(7) The pulse width will be between 0.4 and 0.5 Ps. If not, perform b (1) below.
(8) Set REPLIES REPLY WIDTH SELECT switch to the first setting listed in
table 7. Repeat technique of (6) and (7) above. Pulse width will be within limits specified.
If not perform adjustment specified.
(9) Repeat technique of (8) above for remaining REPLIES REPLY WIDTH
SELECT switch settings listed in table 7. Pulse width will be within limits specified. If
not perform adjustment specified.
