b. Adjustments
NOTE
The following adjustments should be performed in the order
indicated.
(1) Press FUNCTION EEX/VOLTS pushbutton, and adjust GATE ADJ for 150 mS.
(2) Connect short between DCV and COM.
(3) Press MATH DISABLE and STATISTICS N = 1000 pushbuttons.
(4) Connect multimeter negative lead to COM and positive lead to A8 TP1 (fig. 5)
and adjust A8 R30 ZERO OFFSET (fig. 5) for 0 V 5 V.
(5) Remove short between DCV and COM.
(6) Connect calibrator to DCV and COM and set output to 4.0000 V. Record TI
display reading.
(7) Set calibrator output to -4.0000 V and record display reading.
(8) Sum the absolute value of recorded readings of (6) and (7) above and divide by
two. Adjust A8 R2 REF SYS (fig. 5) for a display of the calculated value.

(9) Adjust A8 R19 LOW V (fig. 5) for 4.0000 V 100 V.
(10) Set dc voltage standard for 40.000 V and adjust A8 R15 MED V (fig. 5) for a
display 40.000 V 1 mV.
(11) Set dc voltage standard for 400.000 V and adjust A8 R10 HIGH V (fig. 5) for a
display 400.00 V 10 mV.
