to 1 GHz.
(5) Adjust signal generator frequency to 1 GHz and slowly increase output until TI
displays a stable indication of applied frequency. If signal generator output exceeds
100mV, perform b below.
(6) Repeat technique of (5) above, varying signal generator frequency from 1 GHz to
1.3 GHz.
Adjust A9 R22 (A9 board lower center, top right of TI) until TI displays a stable indication
of applied frequency (R).

a. Performance Check
(1) Set TI controls as listed in (a) through (g) below:
FUNCTION O/GATE TIME to GATE TIME.
(a)
MATH to OFF (LEDs off).
(b)
STATISTICS to OFF (LEDs off).
(c)
GATE MODE/ADJ/NORM/FAST to NORM.
(d)
CYCLE to NORM.
(e)
(f)
Adjust gate time to 150 ms.
FUNCTION pushbutton to VOLTS.

(2) Connect short between DCV and COM connector. TI will display 0 V 2 mV. If
not perform b below.
(3) Remove short and connect calibrator to DCV and COM. Set calibrator for
4.0000 V. TI display will indicate between 3.996 and 4.004 V dc. Set calibrator for -4.0000
V. TI display will indicate between -3.996 and -4.004 V dc. If not perform b below.
(4) Set calibrator for 40.000 V. TI display will indicate between 39.96 and 40.04 V
dc. Set calibrator for -40.000 V. TI display will indicate between -39.96 and -40.04 V dc. If
not perform b below.
(5) Set calibrator for 400.00 V. TI display will indicate between 399.6 and 400.4 V
dc. Set calibrator for -400.00 V. TI display will indicate between -399.6 and -400.4 V dc. If
not perform b below.
