(2) Press VERTICAL SCALE 5 dB/DIV pushbutton.
(3) Observe trace on crt.
(4) Press SWEEP pushbutton to obtain new sweep on crt.
(5) Adjust DIST/DIV control to 200 meters to expand trace.
(6) Adjust MARKER control until marker is at the first step from the left on the
trace (fig. 1).

(7) Adjust DIST/DIV control to 10 meters to expand trace.
(8) Press VERTICAL SCALE .5 dB/DIV pushbutton.
(9) Adjust VERTICAL POSITION control to center the trace on crt.
(10) Adjust MARKER control until marker on crt is on the shoulder of the first step
(best possible obtainable). Record LCD reading.
(11) Adjust DIST/DIV control to 50 meters.
(12) Adjust MARKER control until marker is on second step from the left on the
trace (fig. 1).
(13) Adjust DIST/DIV control to 10 meters.
(14) Adjust MARKER control until marker on crt is on the shoulder of the second
step (best position obtainable). Record LCD reading.
(15) Adjust DIST/DIV control to 100 meters (or position required to obtain third step
on crt) (fig. 1).
(16) Adjust VERTICAL POSITION control as required to display third step of the trace.
