POSITION control to set the top of the pulse 1 major division above
(2) Adjust
the center graticule line.
(3) If the rising edge does not cross the horizontal center graticule line within 0.5
division of marker (if not within +0.5 meter), perform b below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Perform (a) through (f) below:
Set POWER switch to OFF position.

Set POWER switch ON.
(b)
Press PULSE (SHORT) pushbutton.
(c)
Press FILTER (SLOW) pushbutton.
(d)
Press READOUT MODE (LOSS, DIST) pushbutton to DIST position.
(e)
Press VERTICAL MODE pushbutton to 5 dB/DIV position.
(f)
(2) Press FILTER (FAST) pushbutton.
POSITION control to set the top of the pulse 1 major division above
(3) Adjust
the center graticule line.
(4) Set MARKER control to 0 meters.
(5) Press and hold SWEEP pushbutton for continuous sweep while adjusting R1038
(fig. 5) so the rising edge of the pulse crosses the center horizontal graticule line at the
location of the marker. (Indication will be to +0.5 meters or less.) (R).
