12. X-Y Calibration
a. Performance Check
(1) Set the TI controls as follows:

(2) Connect oscilloscope calibrator SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 output to TI CH 1
input connector.
(3) Set the oscilloscope calibrator for a 1 kHz square wave at 500 mV p-p into 1 MΩ.
Set the OPR / STBY switch to OPR. Adjust the oscilloscope calibrator output to obtain 5 div
of horizontal deflection centered on the TI CRT.
(4) Verify the oscilloscope calibrator indicates within 480 to 520 mV p-p.
(5) Set the oscilloscope calibrator for a square wave at 50 mV p-p into 1 MΩ.
(6) Set the TI X10 MAG button to IN.
(7) Adjust the oscilloscope calibrator output to obtain 5 div of horizontal deflection
centered on the TI CRT.
(8) Verify the oscilloscope calibrator indicates within 47 to 53 mV p-p.
(9) Set the oscilloscope calibrator OUTPUT to OFF.
(10)Set the TI X10 MAG button to OUT and TIME/DIV to 2 μs.
(11)Set the oscilloscope calibrator for a 50 kHz leveled sine wave at 600 mV p-p into
50 Ω feedthrough to CH1. Set the OUTPUT to ON. Adjust the output to obtain 6 div of
horizontal deflection centered on the TI CRT.
(12)Increase the oscilloscope calibrator frequency controls to 1 MHz.
(13)Verify the TI CRT horizontal display indicates ≥4.2 div.
(14)Set oscilloscope calibrator to standby.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
