(4) Continue configuring FUNCTION GENERATOR #2 as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) Select [Recall 1].
(b) Set [period] 2.5 sec. Set [duty cycle] for 80%.
(c) Press Store/Recall key. Select [Store 2]. Select [Store].
(d) Press Store/Recall key. Select [Recall 2]. Ensure settings are correct.
(5) Configure OSCILLOSCOPE as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) Set channels 1-4 for 2V/div, DC coupling.
(b) Set horizontal control for 10 msec.
(c) Set trigger source to channel 1.
(d) Set trigger mode to trig'd and slope for positive pulses.
(e) Set channels 1 - 3 trigger level for 2.5 V. Set channel 4 trigger level for -2.5 V.
(6) Configure both FUNCTION GENERATORS #1 and #2 by selecting Store/Recall,
[Recall 1] on each unit. Ensure outputs are off.
(7) Connect instruments as listed in (a) through (m) below (fig. 4):
(a) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J7 to TI M439 OUT and GND.
(b) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J4 to TI J5 FIRE.
(c) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J3 to FREQUENCY COUNTER #1 input A.
(d) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J6 to FREQUENCY COUNTER #2 input A.
(e) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER 24 V and RTN to POWER SUPPLY #1 +/-.
(f) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER -12 V and RTN to POWER SUPPLY #2 -/+.
(g) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J1 to FUNCTION GENERATOR #1 output.
(h) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER J5 to FUNCTION GENERATOR #2 output.
(i) FUNCTION GENERATOR #1 sync to FUNCTION GENERATOR #2 ext trigger.
(j) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER TP1 and GND to OSCILLOSCOPE channel 1.
(k) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER TP2 and GND to OSCILLOSCOPE channel 2.
(l) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER TP3 and GND to OSCILLOSCOPE channel 3.
(m) CALIBRATION AMPLIFIER TP4 and GND to OSCILLOSCOPE channel 4.
(8) Configure FREQUENCY COUNTER #1 and #2 as listed in (a) through (f) below:
(a) Set function to TIM A-B. Select COM A.
(b) Set auto trigger off. Set input A and B, trigger level for 1 V.
(d) Select input A, positive slope. Select input B, negative slope.
(e) Select input A and B, 1 MΩ impedance. Set coupling to DC.
(f) Set filter on.
