17. Audio Generator Distortion
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI AF GEN OUT through a 10X attenuator to measuring receiver
AUDIO INPUT.
(2) Set TI as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) Press AF TEST.
(b) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is
highlighted, FREQ, and set to 1 kHz.
(c) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is
highlighted, LEVEL, and set to 4 V.
(d) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to on.
(e) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF2 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to off.
(3) Configure measuring receiver for audio distortion measurement. If measuring
receiver indication is not within limits specified in first row of table 17, perform b below.
(4) Repeat technique of (2) (b) through (e) and (3) above for TI frequencies and levels
specified in table 17. If measuring receiver indications are not within limits specified in
Table 17. Audio Generator 1 Distortion

Set measuring receiver low pass filter to 30 kHz.

(5) Set TI as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF2 FREQ is
highlighted, FREQ, and set to 1 kHz.
(b) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF2 FREQ is
highlighted, LEVEL, and set to 4 V.
(c) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF2 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to on.
(d) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to off.
(6) Configure measuring receiver for audio distortion measurement with low pass
