(12) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is highlighted,
then press ON OFF key to on.
(13) Press TI AF TEST, [Dist/S-N], [Dist'n]. If TI DISTORTION METER
indication is not between 23.2% and 26.8%, perform b below.
(14) Press TI AF TEST, [Dist/S-N], [Sinad]. If TI SINAD METER indication is
not between 11.0 dB and 13.0 dB, perform b below.
(15) Set TI as listed in (a) and (b) below:
(a) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF1 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to off.
(b) Press AF TEST, [Audio Gen], [Gen1/Gen2] until AF2 FREQ is
highlighted, then press ON OFF key to off.
(16) Disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments. Perform adjustments in Section IV below.
20. AM Modulation Analyzer
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect equipment as shown in figure 3 below.
(2) Set TI as listed in (a) through (f) below:
(a) Press Tx TEST.
(b) Press SELECT to select ANTENNA.
(c) Press Tx TEST, [Mod Meter] and [AM/FM/SSB] to select AM.
(d) Press Tx TEST, [Mod Meter], [IF Filter] and [30 kHz].
(e) Press AF TEST, [AF Filter] and [0.3 to 3.4 kHz].
(f) Press Tx TEST, [Tx Freq], 5, 0, 0, kHz keys.
(3) Set signal generator for a 500 kHz, 6 dBm output with AM modulation of 70%
depth at a 1 kHz modulation rate.
(4) Configure measuring receiver to measure AM depth with 50 Hz high pass filter
and detector to Peak/2.
