(39) Move probe connection to TI TP8 (fig. 6) and adjust R4 (fig. 6) for a measuring
receiver indication of -2.0 dBm 0.1 dB.
(40) Set signal generator output to 10.7 MHz at -10 dBm.
(41) Press TI resolution bandwidth [300 Hz] key.
(42) Set measuring receiver to -2 dBm reference level, 0.5 dB/div, 10 dB attenuation
and zero span.
(43) Adjust C17, C27, C45 and C55 for maximum level on measuring receiver. Level
must be greater than -7 dBm. (Trace should be a horizontal line, but may initially be off
screen. If necessary adjust measuring receiver reference level to bring trace into view).
(44) Set measuring receiver to -32 dBm reference level, 2 dB/div, 40 dB attenuation
and 100 kHz span.
(45) Press TI resolution bandwidth [30 kHz] key.
(46) Move probe connection to TI TP4 (fig. 6).
(47) Adjust C21 and R31 (fig. 6) for best centralization and symmetry (adjustments
interact). Alterations to measuring receiver settings may need to be made to facilitate
making these adjustments.
(48) Press TI resolution bandwidth [300 Hz] key.
(49) Set measuring receiver to 0.5 dB/div, and 200 Hz span and adjust C17 (fig. 6)
until response is accurately tuned to 10.7 MHz.
(50) Press TI resolution bandwidth [30 kHz] key.
(51) Set measuring receiver to 5 dB/div, and 100 kHz span.
(52) Move probe connection to TI TP5 (fig. 6).
(53) Adjust C31 and R42 (fig. 6) for best centralization and symmetry (adjustments
interact). Alterations to measuring receiver settings may need to be made to facilitate
making these adjustments.
(54) Press TI resolution bandwidth [300 Hz] key.
(55) Set measuring receiver to -36 dBm reference level, 0.5 dB/div, and 200 Hz span
and adjust C27 (fig. 6) until response is accurately tuned to 10.7 MHz.
(56) Press TI resolution bandwidth [30 kHz] key.
(57) Set measuring receiver to -20 dBm reference level, 5 dB/div, and 50 kHz span.
(58) Move probe connection to TI TP6 (fig. 6).
(59) Adjust C49 and R64 (fig. 6) for best centralization and symmetry (adjustments
interact). Alterations to measuring receiver settings may need to be made to facilitate
making these adjustments.
(60) Press TI resolution bandwidth [300 Hz] key.
(61) Set measuring receiver to -29 dBm reference level, 0.5 dB/div, and 200 Hz span
and adjust C45 (fig. 6) until response is accurately tuned to 10.7 MHz.
(62) Press TI resolution bandwidth [30 kHz] key.
(63) Set measuring receiver to 10 dB/div and 100 kHz span.
