12. Resistance
a. Performance Check
(1) Press calibrator RESET key.
(2) Connect TI RESISTANCE terminals to calibrator OUTPUT terminals,
observing polarity.
(3) Set TI controls for the first range listed in the Range column. Some TIs require
the test leads be changed to different jacks for range changes.
(4) Set calibrator for the first value listed in the Applied column and set OPR/STBY
switch to OPR.
(5) Press calibrator 2 Wire Comp softkey to On and ensure EX SNS is Off. Above
19 kΩ, set 2 Wire Comp softkey to Off.
(6) Edit the calibrator controls until the calibrator reading indication on the control
display indicates the TI reading. If calibrator Error indication is not within limits specified,
perform b below.
(7) Repeat technique of (3) through (6) above for remaining ranges and applied
values listed in Range and Applied columns. If calibrator Error indication is not within
limits specified, perform b below.
(8) If applicable, disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments. Refer to TI manufacturer's manual for corrective action.
