NOTE
For this performance check, if the TI can be inserted to the
bottom of the wells of the cool/heat source, the cool/heat source
may act as the standard. If the TI cannot be inserted to the
bottom of the well, use the thermometer listed in table 2 as a
comparison standard. Ensure that thermometer and TI are
inserted into cool/heat source cold/hot block to the same depth.
(1) Connect the Temperature Probe to TI Input.
(2) Set TI controls as necessary to measure applicable F or C Temperature.
(3) Insert TI K type thermocouple and standard thermometer into cool/heat source
cold block. Use support stand(s) to ensure TI and standard thermometer are inserted to the
same depth.
(4) Adjust cool/heat source to first calibration point table, and allow sufficient time
for TI and/or cool/heat source / standard thermometer to stabilize. TI will indicate within
the limits of table, if not perform b below
(5) Repeat technique of (4) above for remaining temperatures listed in table. TI will
indicate within the limits of table, if not perform b below
(6) Set the cool/heat source to 25 C and allow it to cool down.
Disconnect
equipment setup.
a. De-energize and disconnect all equipment.
b. Annotate and affix DA label/form in accordance with TB 750-25.
