b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 0% on control display and adjust CH 2 R78
(fig. 4) for a 5 division TI display (R).
(2) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 0% on control display and adjust CH 1 R78 (fig.
and 1 M
Risetime
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) VERT MODE CH 1 pushbutton pressed.
(b) CH 1 and CH 2 VOLTS/DIV switches to 50 mV.
(c) TIME/DIV switch to 1 ns.
(
(d) CH 1 and CH 2 1 M /50
pushbuttons pressed and released to 50
out) position.
(2) Connect pulse generator to CH 1 input using cable supplied with pulse generator.
(3) Adjust pulse generator for a 1 ns pulse and a 5 division vertical display on the TI.
(4) Measure risetime using standard risetime measuring technique. If risetime does
not indicate 1 ns or less, perform b (1) through (3) below.
(5) Press VERT MODE CH 2 pushbutton.
(6) Disconnect cable from CH 1 input and connect to CH 2 input.
(7) Measure risetime using standard risetime measuring technique. If risetime does
not indicate 1 ns or less, perform b (4) and (5) below.

(8) Press CH 1 and CH 2 1 M /50
pushbutton to 1 M
(in) and connect 50
eedthrough termination to input connection.
(9) Measure risetime using standard risetime measuring technique. If risetime does
not indicate 1.4 ns or less, perform b (6) below.
(10) Disconnect cable from CH 2 and connect to CH 1 input.
(11) Press VERT MODE CH 1 pushbutton.
(12) Measure risetime using standard risetime measuring technique. If risetime does
not indicate 1.4 ns or less, perform b (7) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R613, R614, R615, and L654 (fig. 3) for best flat top response on TI display.
(2) Adjust C214 and R214 (fig. 3) for best front corner level on TI display.
(3) Adjust C240, R240, and C617 (fig. 3) for minimum ringing and fastest risetime
(1 ns or less) (R).
(4) Adjust C315 and R315 (fig. 3) for best front corner level on TI display.
(5) Adjust, C340, R340, and C617 (fig. 3) for minimum ringing and fastest risetime
(1 ns or less) (R).
