(4) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 5 divisions of vertical display on TI. If TI does not
indicate within 2% as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator control display, perform b (1)
through (8) below.
(5) Disconnect cable from CH 1 and connect to CH 2. Press VERT MODE CH 2 pushbutton.
(6) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for a 5 division vertical display on TI. If TI does not
indicate within 2% as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator control display, perform
b ( 9 ) below.
(7) Set CH 2 POLARITY switch to INVERT.
(8) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for a 5 division vertical display on TI. If TI does not
indicate within 2% as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator control display, perform
b ( 1 0 ) below.
b. Adjustments
(1) Disconnect oscilloscope calibrator from CH 1.
(2) Press VERT MODE ADD pushbutton and adjust CH 2 POSITION control to
center trace on TI center horizontal graticule line.
(3) Connect multimeter across MAIN VERT GAIN TP (418 and 419) (fig. 3).
(4) Note and record multimeter indication should be less than 15 mV dc.
(5) Adjust CH 2 POSITION control for multimeter indication of 200 mV dc greater
than indication in (4) above. Adjust MAIN VERT GAIN ADJ R629 (fig. 3) until TI trace is
exactly 4 divisions from TI center horizontal graticule line (R).
(6) Reconnect oscilloscope calibrator to CH 1.
(7) Press VERT MODE CH 1 pushbutton.
(8) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 0% on control display and adjust CH 1 50
GAIN
ADJ R255 (fig. 3) for a 5 division TI display (R).
(9) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 0% on control display readout and adjust CH 2
50
GAIN ADJ R358 (fig. 3) for a 5 division TI display (R).
(10) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for 096 on control display readout and adjust INV
GAIN ADJ R318 (fig. 3) for a 5 division TI display (R).
Gain
a. Performance Check
(1) Set CH 1 and CH 2 1 M /50
switches pressed to 1 M
(in) position.
(2) Connect oscilloscope calibrator VOLTS OUT to CH 2.
(3) Set oscilloscope calibrator for .1 V at 1 kHz.
(4) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator for a 5 division vertical display on TI. If TI does not
indicate within 2% as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator control display, perform b (1) below.
