(3) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to start trace at first vertical graticule line.
If A trace intensified portion is not on second time mark and pulse on B trace does not just
start positive at beginning of trace, perform b (1) below.
(4) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 9.0. If TI A trace intensified is not on
10th time mark and pulse on B trace does not just start positive at beginning of trace, perform
b (2) and (3) below.
(5) Set A TIME/DIV switch to .1 s and B TIME/DIV switch to 10 ns.
(6) Set oscilloscope calibrator to .1 s markers.
(7) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 1.0 and adjust horizontal POSITION
control to align time mark on B sweep with second vertical graticule line.
(8) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 9.0. If time mark on B sweep is not
aligned with second vertical graticule line, perform b (4) below.
(9) Set B TIME/DIV switch to .1 s and adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control
(approximately 0.0) until beginning of A and B sweeps are aligned. If B sweep does not match
A sweep timing, perform b (5) below.
(10) Set A TIME/DIV switch to 1 s, B TIME/DIV switch to .1 s and DELAY TIME
POSITION control to 0.95.
(11) Set oscilloscope calibrator to 1 s markers.
(12) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to set leading edge of B display to a reference
position while keeping first 10 time marks of A display on TI graticule area. Intensified zone
of A display must start on second time mark.
(13) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 8.95. If B display is not at reference
position established in (12) above, and intensified zone of A display does not start on 10th time
mark, perform b (6) and (7) below.
(14) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a) B TIME/DIV switch to 1 s.
(b) HORIZ DISPLAY B pushbutton pressed.
(c) DELAY TIME POSITION control to 0.0.
(15) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to align first time mark with first graticule
line. If TI display does not have one time mark per division over center 8 divisions, perform b
(8) below.
(16) Set A TIME/DIV switch to 10 ns and B TIME/DIV switch to 1 ns.
(17) Set oscilloscope calibrator to 10 ns markers.
(18) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 4.0 and adjust horizontal POSITION
control to align time mark on B display with TI center graticule line (4.0 reference position).
(19) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION control to 9.0 and then slightly until B display
time mark is aligned with TI center graticule line. DELAY TIME POSITION control error at
setting near 9.0 will be 6 minor divisions or less.
(20) Repeat technique of (16) through (19) above for oscilloscope calibrator
TIME/DIV switches and DELAY TIME POSITION control settings listed in table 5.
Maximum DELAY TIME POSITION control error will be as specified.
