(8) Press DIGITAL STORAGE SAVE A and B-SAVE A pushbutton to off.

25. Triggering Operation and Sensitivity
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) DIGITAL STORAGE (option 02) VIEW A pushbutton off.
(b) DIGITAL STORAGE (option 02) VIEW B pushbutton off.
(c) VERTICAL DISPLAY LIN pushbutton on.
(d) TIME/DIV switch to .5 ms.
(e) TRIGGERING FREE RUN pushbutton on.
(2) Connect jumper between pins 1 and 3 of J104 (fig. 5) for TI with SN B053574
and below or pins 1 and 5 of J104 (fig. 5) for TI with SN B053575 and above, using lead and
clip (B10 and B9).
(3) Connect function generator output to pin 2 (fig. 5) using service kit cable for TI
with SN B053574 and below or connect function generator output to MARKER VIDEO
(rear panel) using cable for TI with SN B053575 and above.
(4) Adjust signal generator for 1 kHz sine wave output for 2 divisions of display on crt.
NOTE
Dc offset control on function generator should be adjusted to
display full sine wave.
(5) Press TRIGGERING INT pushbutton on. Display will be triggered.
(6) Vary function generator from 15 Hz to 1 MHz. Display will remain triggered.
NOTE
Adjust TIME/DIV switch as necessary to maintain readable
display.
(7) Connect equipment as shown in figure 35.
(8) Adjust function generator frequency to 1 kHz, 2 V p-p signal as indicated on oscilloscope.
(9) Position TIME/DIV control to 2 ms and press TRIGGERING EXT pushbutton on.
(10) Ensure that sweep runs.
(11) Vary function generator from 15 Hz to 1 MHz, maintaining 2 V p-p signal level.
Sweep will continue to run.
(12) Decrease function generator output level to 0 V.
b. Adjustments. No adjustments can be made.
