(6) DOT RESPONSE control to midrange.
(7) NORMAL pushbutton pressed.
g. Position sampling sweep unit controls as listed in (1) through (7) below.
(1) SWEEP RANGE switch to 50 s and TIME/DIV switch to 5 s.
(2) 50
2 V MAX pushbutton pressed.
(3) SEQUENTIAL pushbutton pressed.
(4) STABILITY control fully ccw and adjust TRIG LEVEL control to midrange.
(5) SCAN control fully cw.
(6) REP pushbutton pressed.
(7) VARIABLE (CAL IN) control pressed.
h. Connect oscilloscope No. 1 to 115V ac source; energize and allow at least 20 minutes
for equipment to warm-up and stabilize.
8. Vertical Deflection
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect oscilloscope calibrator to sampling sweep unit TRIG INPUT.
(2) Set oscilloscope calibrator for marker mode and 100 s.
(3) Connect multimeter to OFFSET OUT and GND.
(4) Press DCV pushbutton.
(5) Adjust DC OFFSET and FINE controls fully cw. Multimeter will indicate -
10 V dc or more.
(6) Adjust DC OFFSET and FINE controls fully ccw. Multimeter will indicate
+10 V dc or more.
NOTE
Interaction occurs among POSITION R325 (fig. 2), VARIABLE
BAL R305 (fig. 2), and SMOOTHING BAL R245 (fig. 2).
Perform (7) through (11) below as necessary to obtain
minimum trace shift between NORMAL and SMOOTH
modes.
