(2) Remove TI trigger board from chassis channel and tighten locking screws.
Install TRIG INPUT connector in front panel and tighten nut. Energize oscilloscope No. 1.
(3) Set SWEEP RANGE switch to .5 s and press EXT HF SYNC pushbutton.
(4) Connect oscilloscope No. 2 to JUNCTION R34-L33 (fig. 5) using X10 probe.

(5) Set oscilloscope No. 2 TIME/DIV switch for a .05 s sweep. If pulse repetition
rate is not between 5 and 15 MHz (.2 to .06 s), perform b (1) below.
(6) Disconnect oscilloscope No. 2 and set SWEEP RANGE switch to 50 ns.
(7) Set TIME/DIV switch to 1 ns and SCAN control fully ccw.
(8) Connect TRIG INPUT to sampling head.
(9) Set sampling unit mVOLTS/DIV switch to 10.
(10) Press RANDOM pushbutton and turn TRIG LEVEL and STABILITY controls
fully cw and then ccw. If period between kickout pulses at ccw position is not between 4.9
and 4.1 ns, and pulse spacing at cw position is not 80 percent or less than pulse spacing at
ccw position, perform b (2) below.
(11) Set TIME/DIV switch to 5 ns.
(12) Press SEQUENTIAL pushbutton and turn TIME POSITION control fully cw
and then ccw.  Kickout pulses will not be seen at any position of TRIG LEVEL and
STABILITY controls after the first 5 divisions of sweep.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust R30 (fig. 5) for a 10 MHz (0.1 s) repetition rate (R).
