(3) Turn frequency dial to 4.0 GHz.
(4) Tighten alien setscrews.
(5) Adjust synthesized signal generator frequency controls for a cw frequency of 4.2 GHz
(Harris PDR, Type LS-518) or 12.4 GHz (Harris PDR, Type CX-518).
(6) Adjust frequency dial for maximum dip on power meter.
(7) Remove TI knob and base and loosen dial setscrews.
NOTE
The dial setscrews must be loosened from inside the dial
holder. The initial factory dial calibration setting at the high
frequency end is made approximately one-half turn ccw from
the high frequency end stop. However, with the dial set near
the high end of its travel, the dial setscrews are not accessible.
The dial must be rotated approximately six turns toward the
low frequency end (ccw) to allow loosening of the dial setscrews.
(8) With a maximum dip on power meter, adjust TI FREQUENCY dial to same
frequency of microwave frequency counter.
(9) Tighten dial setscrews and reassemble TI (R).
(10) Loosen three setscrews a (fig. 2) on knob b (fig. 2) and remove knob b (fig. 2)
from turning shaft c (fig. 2).
(11) Loosen and remove four cap screws d (fig. 2) holding cover to base assembly.
(12) Remove TI cover.
(13) Connect equipment as shown in figure 1.
(14) Adjust synthesized signal generator frequency controls for microwave frequency
counter indication of 4.00 GHz.
(15) Rotate tuning shaft c (fig. 2) for a dip indication on power meter.
(16) Loosen two set screws e (fig. 2) on drive gear f (fig. 2).
