(a) REPLIES MODULATION SEL switch to SIF.
(b) REPLIES GATING PASS switches to 00.
(c) REPLIES GATING INHIB switches to 00.
(8) Adjust oscilloscope controls as necessary to display TI pulse train. Oscilloscope
will display 37 pulse positions with the 5th pulse position missing (36 total pulses present).
(9) Measure the pulse amplitude and width. The pulse amplitude will be 5 r0.5 V
and the width will be 0.5 0.05 Ps. If not, perform b below.
(10) Adjust frequency counter controls as necessary to measure the time interval
between the CHANNEL A and B inputs. The frequency counter will indicate between
181.9 and 183.1 Ps.
(11) Move video cable connection from MODE 4 CHAL VID OUT jack to MODE 4
GTC OUT jack. Frequency counter will indicate between 385.9 and 387.1 Ps.
(12) Measure the pulse amplitude and width. The pulse amplitude will be 5.0 0.5 V
and the width will be 0.8 0.2 Ps.
b. Adjustments. Adjust A3R27 (fig. 1) for a pulse width of 0.50 Ps (R).
16. RF Output Frequency Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in 7 d above.
(2) Connect SUM RF IN/OUT to frequency counter Channel C input.
(3) Position controls as listed in (a) through (c) below:
(a) REPLIES MODULATION SEL switch to CW.
(b) SUM ATTEN control to -10 dB.
(4) Frequency counter will indicate between 1089.891 and 1090.109 MHz.
(6) Set SIG GEN FUNCTION switch to SWP 5 MHz.
(7) Adjust oscilloscope controls as necessary to view 1085 to 1095 timing markers on
Channel 1, as shown in figure 9 (1075, 1080, 1100, and 1105 timing markers will not
be present).
