(4) Using oscilloscope time base controls and the timing markers on Channel 2,
measure the pulse width of the 2d pulse in the Channel 1 pulse train. The pulse width will
be 0.45 0.05 Ps. Record the pulse width.
(5) Using the technique of (4) above, measure the 2d pulse rise time and fall time
between the 1 and 81% amplitude points. The rise time will be between 0.05 and 0.1 Ps and
the fall time will be between 0.05 and 0.2 Ps. If not, perform b (1) below. Record the rise
time and fall time.
(6) Disconnect input to Channel 1 of oscilloscope and connect DEMOD VID OUT
to Channel 1 of oscilloscope, using video cable and 75 : termination
(7) Connect SUM RF IN/OUT to LOW PWR IN, using RF cable assembly.
(8) Set MEASUREMENT FUNCTION SEL switch to PWR. Repeat (3) above.
(9) Adjust MEASUREMENT DEMOD VID LEVEL control for pulse amplitudes
of 1 V as indicated on oscilloscope.
(10) Repeat technique of (4) above. The pulse width will be within 0.02 Ps of value
recorded in (4) above.
(11) Repeat technique of (5) above. The pulse rise time and fall time will be within
0.02 Ps of value recorded in (5) above.
(12) Connect equipment as shown in figure 10, connection B.
(13) Repeat (3) through (5) above and perform b (2) below if adjustment is required.
