a. Performance Check
(1) Press TI keys as listed in (a) through (c) below:
2-22 GHz.
(a)
CENTER FREQUENCY, 3, GHz.
(b)
FREQUENCY SPAN, 100, kHz.
(c)
(2) Connect TI 10 MHz OUT (rear panel) to synthesized signal generator No. 1 10
MHz REF IN (rear panel).
(3) Connect TI RF INPUT to synthesized signal generator No. 1 RF Output.
(4) Set synthesized signal generator No. 1 for an output frequency of 3.0 GHz at an
output level of 0 dBm.
(5) Press TI MARKER PRESEL PEAK key and wait for (PEAKING!) on TI
to disappear.
(6) Press TI MARKER OFF key.
(7) Adjust synthesized signal generator No. 1 output level to place the peak of the
signal trace at the top TI graticule line.
(8) Press TI keys as listed in (a) through (d) below:
MARKER PEAK SEARCH.

DISPLAY LINE ENTER, 70, dBm.

MARKER .

SWEEP SINGLE.
(d)
(9) Change synthesized signal generator No. 1 output frequency to 3.6428 GHz.
