(59) Set RF reference source for an output of -10 dBm at 137 MHz with 8 kHz FM
deviation and modulation rate of 1 kHz. Ensure TI is in FM mode, toggle TI XMIT-MEAS
switch, take a reading and calculate FM coefficient as follows:
FMRx = 8 kHz / Actual Deviation Reading
(60) Set TI function switch to MB and turn TI off.
(61) Press and hold down the MB/NAV ID switch while turning the TI on.
(62) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(63) Press 2 (FMRx) on TI keypad.
(64) Use TI keyboard ,
keys to select band 3 (118-156 MHz).
(65) Using TI keyboard, key in coefficient calculated in (59) above. Turn TI off and
back on.
(66) Rotate TI FUNCTION switch to 156-174 position. Using keyboard set TI to
160 MHz.
(67) Set RF reference source for an output of -10 dBm at 160 MHz with 8 kHz FM
deviation and modulation rate of 1 kHz. Ensure TI is in FM mode, toggle TI XMIT-MEAS
switch, take a reading and calculate FM coefficient as follows:
FMRx = 8 kHz / Actual Deviation Reading
(68) Set TI function switch to MB and turn TI off.
(69) Press and hold down the MB/NAV ID switch while turning the TI on.
(70) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(71) Press 2 (FMRx) on TI keypad.
(72) Use TI keyboard ,
keys to select band 4 (156-174 MHz).
(73) Using TI keyboard, key in coefficient calculated in (67) above. Turn TI off and
back on.
(74) Rotate TI FUNCTION switch to 225-400 position. Using keyboard set TI to
300 MHz.
(75) Set RF reference source for an output of -10 dBm at 300 MHz with 8 kHz FM
deviation and modulation rate of 1 kHz. Ensure TI is in FM mode, toggle TI XMIT-MEAS
switch, take a reading and calculate FM coefficient as follows:
FMRx = 8 kHz / Actual Deviation Reading
(76) Set TI function switch to MB and turn TI off.
(77) Press and hold down the MB/NAV ID switch while turning the TI on.
