(4) At the prompt on the instrument controller screen, type:
calterm 112 <ENTER>.
(5) Set function generator output to 0.00 V dc, then press any key on the instrument
controller to continue calibration.
(6) Toggle the function generator output between +0.50 V dc and 0.50 V dc as
indicated on the multimeter.
(7) On the instrument controller use 1, 2, or 3 to increment and 8, 9, and 0 to
decrement the value of the power meters setting to obtain a 9.54 dB difference in reading
when the function generator output is toggled from +0.50 V dc and 0.50 V dc.
(8) On the instrument controller press "q" to quit.
(9) Repeat technique of (5) through (8) above at 5 GHz.
(10) If TI firmware is 3.36 or higher, perform (a) through (e) below:
(a) At the prompt on the instrument controller screen, type: calterm 172
<ENTER>.
(b) Set the function generator to output 0.00 V dc, press any key on the
instrument controller to continue calibration.
(c) Toggle the function generator output between +0.50 V dc and 0.50 V dc as
indicated on the multimeter.
(d) On the instrument controller use 1, 2, or 3 to increment and 8, 9, and 0 to
decrement the value of the power meters setting to obtain a 9.54 dB difference in reading
when the function generator output is toggled from +0.50 V dc and 0.50 V dc.
(e) On the instrument controller press "q" to quit.
(11) At the prompt on the instrument controller screen, type:
calterm 113 <ENTER>.
(12) Set measuring receiver to measure RF power at 1 GHz.
(13) Toggle the function generator output between +0.20 V dc and 0.20 V dc as
indicated on the multimeter.
(14) On the instrument controller use 1, 2, or 3 to increment and 8, 9, and 0 to
decrement the value of the power meters setting to obtain a 10.00 dB difference in reading
when the function generator's output is toggled.
(15) On the instrument controller press "q" to quit.
(16) Repeat technique of (12) through (15) above at 5 GHz.
(17) If TI firmware is 3.36 or higher perform (a) through (g) below:
(a) At the prompt on the instrument controller screen, type:
calterm 173 <ENTER>.
(b) Set the function generator to output 0.00 V dc, then press any key on the
instrument controller to continue calibration.
(c) Toggle the function generator output between +0.20 V dc and 0.20 V dc as
indicated on the multimeter.
