(14) Set TI OFS to 0 V and disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments. Complete all performance checks through paragraph 15 for as found
data, then perform paragraph 16.
13. Sine Wave Distortion
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI OUTPUT to audio analyzer INPUT HIGH using a 50 Ω feedthrough
termination.
(2) Set TI controls as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) MODE (Input) to NORM.
(b) Function to Sine.
(c) DTY to 50%.
(d) Frequency to 1 kHz.
(e) AMP to 8 V.
(3) Configure audio analyzer for distortion measurement.
If audio analyzer
indication is not <1%, perform b below.
(4) Set TI frequency to 50 kHz. If audio analyzer indication is not <1%, perform b
below.
(5) Set TI frequency to 100 kHz. If audio analyzer indication is not <1%, perform b
below.
(6) Set TI output to minimum and disconnect equipment setup.
(7) Connect TI OUTPUT to spectrum analyzer INPUT.
(8) Set TI frequency to 600 kHz and AMP to 8 V.
(9) Configure spectrum analyzer to view fundamental frequency and first three
harmonics.
(10) Adjust spectrum analyzer controls to place peak of fundamental frequency at a
convenient reference point.  If the difference between fundamental frequency peak and
peaks of each harmonic is not at least 40 dBc, perform b below.
(11) Set TI frequency to 1 MHz and AMP to 8 V.
(12) Configure spectrum analyzer to view fundamental frequency and first three
harmonics.
(13) Adjust spectrum analyzer controls to place peak of fundamental frequency at a
convenient reference point.  If the difference between fundamental frequency peak and
peaks of each harmonic is not at least 34 dBc, perform b below.
