(14) Set TI frequency to 50 MHz and repeat technique of (12) and (13) above. If the
difference between fundamental frequency peak and peaks of each harmonic is not at least
23 dBc, perform b below.
(15) Set TI output to minimum and disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments. Complete all performance checks through paragraph 15 for as found
data, then perform paragraph 16.
14. Pulse Characteristics
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI OUTPUT to oscilloscope 1 input.
(2) Connect TI TRIG OUTPUT to oscilloscope 2 input.
(3) Set TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) MODE (Input) to NORM.
(b) Function to Square.
(c) Frequency to 1 MHz.
(d) AMP to 8 V.
(4) Set oscilloscope to view TI square wave output.
(5) Using oscilloscope, measure rise time. If rise time is not ≤7.0 ns perform b
below.
(6) Using oscilloscope, measure fall time. If fall time is not ≤7.0 ns, perform b
below.
(7) Using oscilloscope, measure aberrations. If aberrations are not 5% or less of
pulse amplitude +2 mV, perform b below.
(8) Set TI output to minimum and disconnect equipment setup.
b. Adjustments. Complete all performance checks through paragraph 15 for as found
data, then perform paragraph 16.
15. DC Output
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI OUTPUT to multimeter input using a 50 Ω feedthrough
termination.
(2) Set TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) MODE (Input) to NORM.
(b) CTRL to off.
(c) Function to Sine.
(d) Frequency to 1 kHz.
(e) Waveform to off.
(f) AMP to 100 mV.
(3) Set TI OFS to value listed in first row of table 9. If multimeter DC indication is
not within limits specified in first row of table 9, perform b below.
