NOTE
Checking a parameter immediately after adjustment will
return the same measurement result as before the adjustment.
For the on screen measurement to reflect the adjustment and
for the new coefficient to be saved to the TI nonvolatile
memory, click SAVE TO UUT to update the coefficient in the
TI. Unplug and re-plug power cord into J106 and press S3.
Avoid excessive power interruption (This moves coefficients
into TI non-volatile memory).
Select command button
CONNECTION CONTROL tab and click rescan ports.
(Rescanning ports will allow retrieval of newly stored
coefficients inside TI without rebooting the program and
waiting the 5 to 20 minutes for TI to warm-up again) Return to
RF CALIBRATION tab and click GET FROM UUT to update
instrument controller. Final logged coefficient displayed in the
Instruction/Message box at completion of adjustment will be
displayed as the TI's initial coefficients. Re-checking the
parameter will display the result of the new calibration
coefficient. This process may be done at the end of each
adjustment or once at the end of the procedure.
(2) When prompted, set RF reference source output to ON and apply +5.0 dBm
(+40.0 dBm for 1030 and 1090 RX DIRECT).
(3) Click command button OK to accept new calibration value.
(4) Set RF reference source to STBY.
a. Ensure TI serial number is correctly annotated in the appropriate fields of TS-4530A
RF Calibration utility program.
b. Click SAVE TO UUT even if no adjustments were made. This updates all fields in
the TI that interface with the utility program. Ensure that CALIBRATION STATUS
window indicates: "Calibration data file written, no errors".
c. Close the TS-4530A RF Calibration Utility program.
d. Deenergize and disconnect all equipment.
e. Reassemble TI by reversing the steps in paragraph 7 g through l.
f. Ensure that no errors were introduced during calibration, adjustment, disassembly
or reassembly by performing BIT again (paragraph 7 b and c).
g. Annotate and affix DA label/form in accordance with TB 750-25.
