Adjustments required to calibrate the TI are included in this procedure. Additional
maintenance information is contained in the manufacturers' manuals for this TI.
d. Unless otherwise specified, all controls and control settings refer to the TI.
7. Equipment Setup
WARNING
HIGH VOLTAGE is used or exposed during the performance of
this calibration.
DEATH ON CONTACT may result if
personnel fail to observe safety precautions.
REDUCE
OUTPUT(S)  to  minimum  after  each  step  within  the
performance check where applicable.
(1) Plug TI into enclosure and turn on.
(2) Turn on multimeter, calibrator and signal generator and allow 30 minutes
warm-up time.
8. Excitation Output, Load Regulation and Noise
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect Excitation Cable output between the respective amplifier channel (for
Amplifier #1 connect Excitation Cable to J1 input connection ect) and the multimeter hi
and lo inputs see figure 1.
Figure 1. Excitation Test.
(2) Set the multimeter to read DC voltage.
(3) Set the EXCIT switch to 5V.  Multimeter will read 4.95 to 5.05 V.  If not,
perform b below. Place a 50 Ω resistor across the output. The output should not vary more
than 0.1%.
