(4) Set the EXCIT switch to 7V.  Multimeter will read 6.93 to 5.07 V.  If not,
perform b below. Place a 70 Ω resistor across the output. The output should not vary more
than 0.1%.
(5) Set the EXCIT switch to 10V. Multimeter will read 9.90 to 10.10 V. If not,
perform b below. Place a 100 Ω resistor across the output. The output should not vary
more than 0.1 %.
(6) Connect the TI to the multimeter without any load resistors. Set the multimeter
to read AC voltage. The multimeter shall read ≤ 1 mV rms.
b. Adjustments. None.
9. Zero
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect equipment as shown in figure 2.
Figure 2. Zero Test Setup.
(2) Configure multimeter for dc volts measurement in auto range.
(3) Adjust the gain to 100.  Adjust the coarse and fine zero controls counter-
clockwise until the stops are reached.
(4) The reading on the multimeter should be more negative than -4 volts. If not,
perform b below.
(5) Adjust the coarse and fine zero controls fully clockwise.
(6) The reading on the multimeter should be more positive than +4 volts. If not,
perform b below.
(7) Adjust the coarse and fine zero controls for zero output from the amplifier.
(8) For models with autozero, adjust the front-panel zero controls and offset the
output of the TI to 1 V.
(9) Press the auto zero switch to zero and release. Verify that the TI output returns
to 0 12 mV.
b. Adjustments. None.
