(4) Adjust MAGNIFIER REGISTRATION R868 (fig. 2) to align middle time marker
with center vertical graticule line (R).

Speed Timing and
Sweep Speed Accuracy
a. Performance Check
(1) Set TI TIME/DIV switch to .2 s.
(2) Set oscilloscope calibrator for a CHAN 1, MARKER mode output of .2 s/div.
(3) Adjust TI TRIGGER LEVEL control for a stable display.
(4) Adjust horizontal ⇔ POSITION control to align first time marker on first
vertical graticule line.
(5) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton to
align 1 marker per division on TI. If TI does not display 1 marker per division within
3 percent as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator err readout, perform b (1) below.
(6) Push and turn TIME/DIV MAG switch to .02 s.
(7) Change oscilloscope calibrator output to 20 nS/D.
(8) Adjust horizontal ⇔ POSITION control to align nearest time marker with first
vertical graticule line.
(9) Rotate oscilloscope calibrator knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton to
align 1 marker per division on TI. If TI does not display 1 marker per division
within 3 percent as indicated on oscilloscope calibrator err readout, perform b (2) below.
(10) Repeat technique of (1) through (5) above for TI and oscilloscope calibrator
switch settings listed in table 6. TI will display 1 marker per division within 3 percent as
