graticule line (R).
(21) Repeat technique of b (17) through (20) above for proper alignment of displayed
time marker at DELAY TIME POSITION dial settings of 1.50 and 8.50.
(22) Position TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
A TIME/DIV switch to .2 μs.

(24) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to align displayed time marker with

(25) Adjust DELAY TIME POSITION dial to approximately 8.50. Further adjust
DELAY TIME POSITION dial to align 2d display time marker with center vertical
graticule line. If DELAY TIME POSITION dial does not indicate between 8.45 and 8.55,
readjust C1137 (fig. 1) for best in-tolerance condition for .2 μs and .5 μs ranges (repeat b
(l6) through (25) above as necessary) (R).
(26) Adjust C1167 (fig. 1) for 1 time marker per division (R).
10. Delay Time and Differential Time Measurement
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (g) below:
A TIME/DIV switch to 1 ms.
(a)
B TIME/DIV switch to 10 μs.
(b)
HORIZ DISPLAY pushbutton A INTEN to on (in).
(c)
DELAY TIME POSITION dial to 1.00.
(d)
B TRIG SOURCE switch to STARTS AFTER DELAY.
(e)
VERT MODE pushbutton CH 1 to on (in).
(f)
Both VOLTS/DIV switches to .5 V.
(g)
(2) Connect oscilloscope calibrator to CH 1 input through 50 Ω termination.
(4) Adjust horizontal POSITION control to align 1st time marker with 1st vertical
graticule line. Adjust INTENSITY control to view intensified 2d time marker.
(5) Press HORIZ DISPLAY pushbutton B DLY'D to on (in). Adjust DELAY
TIME POSITION dial to align start of signal with start of sweep trace. DELAY TIME
POSITION dial will indicate 0.99 to 1.01.
(6) Press HORIZ DISPLAY pushbutton A INTEN to on (in).
(7) Set DELAY TIME POSITION dial to intensify the 3d time marker.
