(42) After step (27) has been completed TI display will indicate: ADJ (step) 28,
500 ps.
(43) Disconnect oscilloscope calibrator SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 from
oscilloscope Vertical 1 input and connect to CH 2 of TI.
(45) Adjust TRANS RESP (R802) (fig. 1) for 2 cycles between 2d and 10th graticule
lines at intersections of the two waveforms (R).
(46) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display will
indicate: ADJ (step) 29, 1 ms.
(47) Move connection from TI CH 2 to oscilloscope Vertical 1 input and set
oscilloscope sweep speed to 20 s.
(48) Set oscilloscope calibrator MARKER output to 1 mS/D and adjust control for
8 time markers over the center 8 divisions of display.
(49) Adjust REF OR DLY POS control as necessary to bring time markers on to
oscilloscope display and adjust control to superimpose time markers to within 0.2 division.
(50) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display will
indicate: DIAGNOSTIC. PUSH A/B TRIG TO EXIT.
a. Performance Check
(1) Press upper TRIGGER MODE pushbutton to CAL 02 (bottom left of display).
(2) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. TI will step from
100 to 111 and display will indicate: DC BALANCE IN PROGRESS.
(3) Display readout will indicate: CH 1 VAR, CH 2 POS, (step) 111, 500 mV.
(4) Connect oscilloscope calibrator SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 to CH 1. Set
oscilloscope calibrator VOLTAGE output to 0.5 V and frequency to 1 kHz.
