(7) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display readout
will indicate: CH 2, 500 mV, (step) 217.
(8) Move connection from CH 1 to CH 2 and repeat (5) above.
(9) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display readout
will indicate: CH 3, 500 mV, (step) 218.
(10) Move connection from CH 2 to CH 3 and repeat (5) above.
(11) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display readout
will indicate: CH 3, 2V, (step) 219.
(12) Set oscilloscope calibrator VOLTAGE output to 2 V.
(13) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display readout
will indicate: CH 4, 500 mV, (step) 220.
(14) Move connection from CH 3 to CH 4.
(15) Set oscilloscope calibrator VOLTAGE output to 0.5 V.
(16) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton.
Display will
indicate: CH 4, 2 V, (step) 221.
(17) Set oscilloscope calibrator VOLTAGE output to 2 V.
(18) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton.
Display will
indicate: DIAGNOSTIC. PUSH AB TRIG TO EXIT.
21. CAL 06 - Vertical Transient Response
a. Performance Check
(1) Press upper TRIGGER MODE pushbutton to CAL 06 (bottom left of display).
(2) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton. Display readout
will indicate: ADJ  (step) 1, 10 mV, 100 ns.
(3) Connect oscilloscope calibrator SOURCE/MEASURE CHAN 1 to CH 1 using
X10 and X2 attenuators.
(4) Set oscilloscope calibrator EDGE output frequency to, 100 kHz.
NOTE
INTENSITY and POSITION controls may be adjusted as
necessary to view waveform in the following steps.
(5) Rotate knob located below EDIT FIELD pushbutton on oscilloscope calibrator
for 5 divisions of display.
(6) Press and release upper TRIGGER COUPLING pushbutton.
(7) Display readout will indicate: ADJ
(step) 2, 10 mV 10 ns.
(8) Adjust C403, R411, and L403, (fig. 1) for flattest corner over first 5 ns (R).
(9) Adjust SEC/DIV VAR control fully ccw and adjust CRT TERMINATION (Rl50l)
(fig. 2) for flattest waveform (R).
