c. Unless otherwise specified, verify the result of each test and, whenever the test
requirement is not met, take corrective action before continuing with the calibration.
Adjustments required to calibrate the TI are included in this procedure. Additional
maintenance information is contained in the manufacturer's manual for this TI.
d. Unless otherwise specified, all controls and control settings refer to the TI.
a. Verify that TI is clean and free from defects that would impair operation.
b. Energize multimeter and allow four hour warm-up. Ensure that all other equipment
has been allowed to stabilize at ambient temperature
WARNING
Equipment damage, personal injury or death may result if
personnel fail to observe the following safety precautions.
Three person lift is required when moving the torque sensor
calibration fixture. Mounting surface must constructed and
secured to withstand the tipping hazard and torque forces of
1500 ft-lb. Use of any type of particle board surface is not
advised, excluding the AN/GSM-440 with reinforcement plates.
c. Mount the torque sensor calibration fixture and secure with bolts.
d. Launch the DynCAL Torque Sensor Calibrator program from the desktop or
navigate to All Programs\DynCAL Torque Sensor Calibrator\ DynCAL Torque
Sensor Calibrator.
e. Use Settings drop down menu to enter multimeter address.
f. Use Traceability drop down menu to enter torque arm lengths and serial numbers
from test reports.
8. Torque Sensor Accuracy
NOTE
Complete b below if this is the first time calibration is
performed on torque sensor. Performance check cannot be
completed on torque sensors without coefficients loaded from a
previous adjustment.

NOTE
Observe all caution and information dialog message boxes
throughout the DynCAL procedure.
(1) Connect equipment as shown in figure 1 with the torque sensor to be calibrated.
