(7) Attach calibration arm, with the bubble level facing up, in the direction selected
in (4) above for torque sensor being calibrated. Secure with machine key(s). See table 4 for
WARNING
Heavy weights are used during the performance of this
calibration. Fully support heavy weight with the jack until
ready to apply. Assure weights are placed on hanger in an
alternating slot alignment. Injuries may result if personnel fail
to observe safety precautions.
CAUTION
To prevent equipment damage, do not exceed rated capacity of
TI. Extreme care must be taken when loading and unloading
weights to prevent damage to torque sensor.
NOTE
A small gap must be present between the calibrator arm and
the torque fixture housing to assure no drag exists between the
calibrator arm and the fixture assembly.

(10)Remove all weight and weight hanger from the calibrator arm and select the
Zero button.
(11)Load the torque sensor by placing the amount of weight (including the weight
hanger) indicated by the Torque Sensor Adjustment Instructions section.
(12)Ensure that the hanger is stationary and the calibrator arm is level. Adjust the
two jackscrews shown in figure 4, if necessary.
(13)Select the Record Point button.
(14)Repeat technique of (11) through (13) above until all on screen steps are
complete.
