(5) Press TI SETUP key, followed by softkey Calibration, then softkey, Calibrate
Instrument.
(6) Using the keypad, enter the password, followed by the ENTER key. (Default
password is 2, SPACE, 3, SPACE, 5 SPACE, 7).
(7) Press the softkey Adjust Frequency.
(8) Using the blue arrow keys and rotary knob, edit the UUT DAC value until the
frequency counter indicates precisely 10.00000000 MHz 0.05 Hz.
(9) Press PREVIOUS MENU, then EXIT.
9. Spectral Purity Verification
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect the TI REF FREQUENCY OUTPUT (rear panel) to the measuring
receiver EXT REF IN (rear panel). Ensure that the TI 50 Ω Leveling Head is connected
to the measuring receiver using sensor module (opt 504), that the TI REF FREQUENCY
OUTPUT is enabled and that the measuring receiver is set for an external time base
reference.
(2) Set the TI controls as listed in (a) through (d) below:
(a) MODE to Leveled Sine.
(b) FREQUENCY to 20 kHz.
(c) LEVEL to +24 dBm.
(d) OUTPUT to OPER.
(3) Set the measuring receiver (spectrum analyzer mode) as necessary to measure
the level of the 2nd and 3rd harmonics, as referenced to the fundamental frequency level (dBc).
(4) Verify that the measuring receiver indication is within the tolerance of table 4.
(5) Repeat technique of (2) (b), (2) (c), (3) and (4) above for the remaining
fundamental frequencies and output levels listed in table 4. TI will indicate within the
