(29) Toggle TI MOD LEVEL HI/LO switch until TI displays 70% AM.
(30) Measure the modulation levels at 1000 Hz and 150 Hz. Calculate the correction
coefficient as follows:
AMTx = 70% / Average Actual Readings
(31) Set TI FUNCTION switch to MB.
(32) Turn TI off. Press and hold down the MB NAV ID switch while turning the
TI on.
(33) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(34) Press 3 (AMTx) on TI keypad.
keys to select band 4 (156-174 MHz).
(36) Using TI keypad, enter the AMTx value calculated in step (30) above and press
ENT. Turn TI off and back on.
(37) Rotate TI FUNCTION switch to 225-400 position and TONES switch to 1000
position. Using keyboard set TI to 300 MHz.
(38) Toggle TI MOD LEVEL HI/LO switch until TI displays 70% AM.
(39) Measure the modulation levels at 1000 Hz and 150 Hz. Calculate the correction
coefficient as follows:
AMTx = 70% / Average Actual Readings
(40) Set TI FUNCTION switch to MB.
(41) Turn TI off. Press and hold down the MB NAV ID switch while turning the
TI on.
(42) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(43) Press 3 (AMTx) on TI keypad.
keys to select band 5 (225-400 MHz).
(45) Using TI keypad, enter the AMTx value calculated in step (39) above and press
ENT. Turn TI off and back on.
(46) Rotate TI FUNCTION switch to 29-88 position and TONES switch to 1000
position. Using keyboard set TI to 59 MHz.
(47) Toggle MOD LEVEL HI/LO down until TI displays 8 kHz FM.
(48) Measure the actual deviation and calculate the correction coefficient as follows:
FMTx = 8 kHz / Actual Reading in kHz
(49) Turn TI off and set TI FUNCTION switch to MB.
(50) Press and hold down the MB NAV ID switch while turning the TI on.
(51) When Enter Cal Code appears on TI screen, enter 953 on TI keypad.
(52) Press 4 (FMTx) on TI keypad.
