ADJUSTMENTS PROCEDURES
15. Power Supply Adjustment
a. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to STBY.
b. Remove top feet (rear) and top cover from TI mainframe.
c. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to ON and allow 2 minutes for TI to warm-up.
d. Connect multimeter positive lead to +5 V test point and negative lead to -5 V test
point. Multimeter will indicate between 10.39 and 10.41 V; if not, perform e through l below.
NOTE
Test point locations and adjustment locations are marked on
the power supply cover and on the Digital PC assembly (A13).
NOTE
Hazardous voltages capable of causing injury or death are
present on the power supply assembly A11 when power is
applied and for a period of time after power is removed from
the TI. To avoid this hazard, DO NOT REMOVE THE POWER
SUPPLY SHIELD until the LED on the ac power supply
assembly is extinguished. This LED is visible through an
inspection hole in the cover labeled "+300 V WHEN LAMP IS
ON."
e. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to STBY.
Remove multimeter connections and
power cord from ac source.
f. When the +300 V LED is extinguished, remove the power supply top cover.
g. Connect multimeter positive lead to +5 V test point and negative lead to -5 V test point.
h. Reconnect power cord to ac source. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to ON and allow
2 minutes for TI to warm-up.
i. Adjust A13R56 (see NOTE above) for a multimeter reading of +10.4 V dc (R).
j. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to STBY.
Remove multimeter connections and
power cord from ac source.
k. When the +300 V LED is extinguished, replace the power supply top cover.
Reconnect power cord to ac source. Set POWER STBY/ON switch to ON.
