17. Load and Line Regulation (Constant Current)
a. Performance Check
(1) Set the electronic load resistance to maximum (minimum load).
Connect
equipment as shown in figure 3.
(2) Using TI front panel controls, program voltage and current outputs for full scale
output (see table 1).
(3) Set electronic load DC circuit breaker to On.
NOTE
In the following step, if TI does not remain in the CC mode,
decrease the electronic load resistance until TI CC enunciator
remains On.
(4) Reduce the electronic load resistance until TI front panel display indicates full
scale A and ensure CC enunciator is illuminated.
(5) Divide the multimeter indication by the DC current shunt certified resistance
and record results.
(6) If using electronic load Astec America Inc., EL750B, set the static current
control fully CW. If using electronic load Transistor Devices, DLP-130-50-2500, press and
hold the SHORT CIRCUIT switch to In/On as required when programming TI or making
measurements.
(7) Allow the multimeter indication to stabilize and repeat step (5) above.
(8) The difference between the values obtained in steps (5) and (7) above must be
within table 1 Load Regulation CC limits.
