a. Connect TI to mainframe CH 1 output and allow 20 minutes for TI to warm-up. TI
will remain connected to CH 1 mainframe throughout entire procedure.
b. Ensure the TI output is not connected to anything. Perform self test by pressing
MODE, softkey TEST softkey ALL. Ensure that mainframe and TI pass all self tests
before continuing. Press softkey EXIT when self test is completed, then MODE and softkey
MANUAL.
c. Calibration of this instrument should take place in a 23C 5 C environment.
8. Leveled Sine LF Gain Accuracy (Models 9530 and 9560 Only)
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect TI output to multimeter INPUT through 50 Ω feedthrough termination.
(2) Set multimeter to measure ACV (If using 3458A, SETACV to SYNC mode).
(3) Set TI as listed in (a) through (m) below:
(a)
(sine).
(b)
Softkey, / 1.0 (select 1.0).
(c)
Softkey, CHANNEL SELECT.
Softkey, LOAD 50 Ω.
(d)
(e)
Softkey, SIGNAL CH 1.
(f)
Softkey, EXIT.
(g)
(if necessary) to select AMPLITUDE.
(h)
Keypad Entry, 30.
(i)
Softkey, mV.
(j)
(k)
Keypad Entry, 50.
(l)
Softkey, kHz.
(m)
OUTPUT, ON.
(4) Multimeter will indicate within the limits for the first value in table 3. If not,
perform b below.
(5) Repeat technique of (3) (g) through (i) and (4) above for remaining TI output
