NOTE
The DC mV measurements in table 3 below are subject to
offsets caused by thermals. This is due to temperature
gradients between connecting materials. After connecting the
calibrator to the TI terminals, allow time (could be several
minutes) for the thermals to dissipate.
(3) Set up TI to perform relative temperature readings by pressing buttons as listed
in (a) through (d) below.
(a)
[Menu].
(b)
Select <TEMP>, [C].
(c)
[Menu].
(d)
Select <REL>, [REL].
(4) Set calibrator to 4.096 mV dc, OPR. If TI does not indicate between 98 C and
102 C, perform b below.
(5) Repeat technique of step (4) above, using settings and indications listed in
table 3. If TI does not indicate within limits specified in table 3, perform b below.

Press [Menu], select <mVDC>, [mVDC]. Take the reading comparing it to the Min/Max value in table 3. If TI does not
1
indicate within limits specified, perform b below. Now press [Menu], select <REL>, [REL]to prepare TI for next
measurement in table 3 using relative (RELΔ) mode.
2 Press [Menu], select <mVDC>, select [mVDC]. (Turn off relative mode.)
3 Press [Menu], select <AC+DC>, select [DC, AC].
4 Press [Menu], select <AC+DC>, select [AC, DC].
5 Set TI function switch to V
.
6 Press [Menu], select <VDC>, select [VDC].
(6) Set calibrator output to minimum.
b. Adjustments. Complete all performance checks in paragraphs 8 through 14,
recording failures, then perform entire alignment procedure in paragraph 17.
