NOTE
After pressing NEXT, wait until the step number advances
before changing the calibrator source or turning the TI rotary
switch.
If the TI rotary knob is not in the correct position, or if the
measured value is not within the anticipated range of the input
value, the TI emits a double beep and will not continue to the
next step.
If battery indicator on TI indicates less than 2 bars, replace
batteries.
a. Connect VΩ and COM inputs to calibrator OUTPUT HI, LO.
b. Press [SETUP], then navigate to <Calibration>.
c. Press [Calibrate]. This will display a dialog box titled "Enter Password". To enter
the default password of 1234, use the TI arrow keys, and then press [OK].
NOTE
If the calibration password is unknown and TI displays
"Incorrect password entered," the default password (1234) can
be restored by performing steps j through n below.
d. If TI is not set to appropriate function, set the rotary switch as indicated on bottom
half of display.
e. Apply the stimulus listed on bottom half of display for each calibration adjustment
f. Wait for the measurement on the primary display to settle to its final value. The
values listed in the Settling Time column in table 8 can be used as a general guide.
g. Press [Next] to calculate the calibration constants for the current step.
NOTE
During calculation of calibration constants the secondary
display will show "Calibrating...."
Some calibration
measurements take longer to execute than others (up to 120
seconds). If the measurement is within calibration tolerance
the TI records the new constant(s) and proceeds to the next
calibration step, giving a single beep to prompt the user to
proceed.
h. Repeat steps d through g until the secondary display shows the "Cal Complete"
message. This indicates that the calibration procedure is complete and the new calibration
constants will be saved. The new constants will be used after selecting [OK] and the TI
restarts.
i. After performing adjustments repeat paragraphs 7 through 16 above.
