10. Risetime
a. Performance Check
(1) Configure oscilloscope to measure risetime.
(2) Set TI TEST switch to VERT or HORIZ + STEP RESP.
(3) Connect equipment as shown in figure 4 and remove shorting strap.
(4) Set oscilloscope and oscilloscope mainframe power switches to ON and allow
approximately 5 minutes for warm-up.

(5) Adjust AMPLITUDE control for 5 divisions of vertical deflection on oscilloscope.
(6) Using POSITION control, center waveform on oscilloscope.
(7) Adjust oscilloscope TRIG LEVEL for stable display.
(8) Measure risetime using standard risetime technique. If risetime is not 300 ps or
less, perform b (1) below.
(9) Remove connection from A and connect to B.
(10) Repeat technique of (5) through (8) above. If risetime is not 300 ps or less,
perform b (2) below.
(11) Replace shorting strap.
b. Adjustments
(1) Adjust C319 and C324 (fig. 2) for best square front corner or best compromise
between C319 and C324 (R).
(2) Adjust R314 (fig. 2) for equal amplitude (R).
