10. Bandwidth
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect oscilloscope calibrator to TI channel 1 input using a 50 Ω feedthrough
termination.
(2) Press TI Setup, then press [Default Setup].
(3) Set TI Volts/Div to 5 mV and Time/Div to 100 μs.
(4) Set oscilloscope calibrator output for a 50 kHz, 30 mV p-p leveled sinewave
into 50 Ω.
(5) Press TI Voltage, then press [V p-p].
(6) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator output amplitude for a TI indication as close to
30 mV as possible.
(7) Increase oscilloscope calibrator output frequency to 100 MHz (models 54600A
and 54601A) or to 150 MHz (model 54602A). If TI V p-p indication is not ≥21.24 mV,
perform b below.
(8) Set oscilloscope calibrator output to OFF.
(9) Set TI Volts/Div to 50 mV.
(10) Set oscilloscope calibrator output for a 50 kHz, 300 mV p-p leveled sinewave
into 50 Ω.
(11) Adjust oscilloscope calibrator output amplitude for a TI indication as close to
300 mV as possible.
(12) Increase oscilloscope calibrator output frequency to 100 MHz (models 54600A
and 54601A) or to 150 MHz (model 54602A). If TI V p-p indication is not ≥212.4 mV,
perform b below.
(13) Set oscilloscope calibrator output to OFF.
(14) Disconnect oscilloscope calibrator and 50 Ω feedthrough termination from TI
channel 1 and connect to TI channel 2.
(15) Press TI keys as listed in (a) through (e) below:
(a) [Clear Meas].
(b) 1 (as required to remove channel 1 from display).
(c) 2.
(d) TRIGGER SOURCE.
(e) [2].
(16) Set TI Volts/Div to 5 mV and Time/Div to 100 μs.
(17) Set oscilloscope calibrator output for a 50 kHz, 30 mV p-p leveled sinewave
into 50 Ω.
