(7) Repeat technique of (3) through (6) above for RESOLUTION BANDWIDTH
control to 10 kHz and FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 10 kHz. Signal amplitude will
not change more than 0.5 dB.
(8) Adjust PEAK/AVERAGE control to PEAK and repeat technique of (3) through
(6) above with RESOLUTION BANDWIDTH and FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV controls
adjusted to 1 kHz.
(9) Repeat technique of (3) through (6) above with RESOLUTION BANDWIDTH
and FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV controls adjusted to 1 kHz.
b. Adjustments. If an out-of-tolerance condition is noted, perform adjustments listed
in paragraph 8 b above.
14. Frequency Response
a. Performance Check
(1) Position controls as listed in (a) through (k) below:
(a) FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton to 0-1.8 GHz.
(b) FREQUENCY control to 0 MHz.
(c) FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 1 MHz.
(d) MIN RF ATTEN control 30 dB.
(e) REFERENCE LEVEL control 0 dBm.
(f) AUTO RESOLUTION pushbutton on.
(g) TIME/DIV switch to AUTO.
(h) VERTICAL DISPLAY 2 dB/DIV pushbutton on.
(i) DIGITAL STORAGE VIEW A pushbutton off.
(j) DIGITAL STORAGE VIEW B pushbutton on.
(k) DIGITAL STORAGE SAVE A pushbutton on.
(2) Connect signal generator to RF INPUT.
NOTE
Record mean level for each frequency band (1 - 5) while
performing the flatness check which is needed to perform the
adjustment procedure.
(3) Adjust signal generator frequency for 100 kHz at -8 dBm amplitude.
(4) Adjust FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 200 kHz.
(5) Adjust REFERENCE LEVEL control for a signal amplitude indication of half
of crt display.
(6) Adjust FREQUENCY control to position signal to far left graticule line.
(7) Press MAX HOLD pushbutton to on.
