(34) Repeat technique of (29) and (30) above for frequencies 6.0 through 18 GHz for
transfer level and 6.0 to 21 GHz for reference. Amplitude deviation for frequencies 6.0
through 18 GHz will not exceed 3.5 dB and frequencies 15.0 through 21 GHz will not
exceed 5.0 dB.
NOTE
Reference level only:  When checking frequency response
between 19 and 20 GHz, use ≤20 dB attenuator in equipment
setup (fig. 28) between power splitter and synthesized signal
generator.
b. Adjustments. If an out-of-tolerance condition is noted, perform adjustments listed
in paragraph 8 b above.
15. Preselector Ultimate Rejection
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect equipment as shown in figure 29.
Figure 29. Preselector Ultimate Rejection - Equipment Setup.
(2) Adjust synthesized signal generator for a 3.5 GHz and -30 dBm output.
(3) Position controls as listed in (a) through (j) below:
(a)
FREQUENCY RANGE pushbutton to 1.7-5.5 GHz.
(b)
FREQUENCY SPAN/DIV control to 1 MHz.
(c)
AUTO RESOLUTION pushbutton on.
