9. Calibrator
a. Performance Check
(1) Connect CAL OUT to frequency counter.  Frequency counter will indicate
between 99.9983 to 100.0017 MHz for units with serial numbers of B04XXXX and above.
Frequency counter will indicate between 99.99 to 100.01 MHz for units with serial numbers
of B039999 and below.
(2) Disconnect cable from frequency counter and connect low-pass filter to
CAL OUT.
(3) Connect low-pass filter to power meter input.
NOTE
Insertion loss of the filter with adapters, measured at
100 MHz, must be known.
(4) Observe power meter indication. If power meter does not indicate between -
19.7 to -20.3 dB, plus loss through the filter, perform b below.
Adjust R1045 IN 3rd CONVERTER (fig. 21) for -20 dBm plus
b. Adjustments.
