(5) Adjust FREQ 8.4 TO 10.0 GHz COARSE control until display indicates the
maximum indication recorded in (3) above. Adjust ATTENUATION DB FINE control for
a 0.0 dB power meter indication. Adjust VR19 (fig. 1) until display indicates 0 + the
correction factor calculated in (4) above (R).
(6) Repeat (3) through (5) above until no further adjustment is necessary.
(7) Adjust VR14 until display goes blank.
NOTE
Perform only adjustments that correspond to ATTENUATION
DB 0-80 switch positions recorded as being out of tolerance in
a (12) through (14) above.
(8) Average 8400, 9200, and 10,000 MHz dB indications from spectrum analyzer for
each ATTENUATION DB 0-80 switch position found to be out of tolerance. Record result
as the correction factor for applicable switch position.
(9) Set MODE switch to SELF TEST and wait until display goes blank.
(10) Press E on keyboard until self-test begins and observe information in
notes below.
NOTE
When TI performs automatic self-test, TI will stop momentarily
at test numbers 110 and 185; this is a normal indication.
When [ ] is displayed, the automatic self-test is complete.
NOTE
If display indicates XXX (example 110), a fault has
occurred. When a fault occurs, press E on keyboard until [ ] is
displayed on TI display.
(11) Press E on keyboard until +1 is indicated in left side of display.
(The +1
indicates calibration mode for attenuation adjustments.)
(12) Set ATTENUATION DB 0-80 switch to each recorded out of tolerance
condition. Adjust corresponding adjustment (as listed in table 5) until display indicates
correction factor recorded in (8) above.
